This week I wrote to BBC Sport to ask for their support in nominating Jason Banks for the short-list of candidates for the 2025 BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
Earlier this year Jason triumphed at the World Indoor Bowls Championship, winning the open pairs, mixed pairs and the open singles world titles.
This was an incredible achievement as he became the first player to win all three world titles in the same year!
Jason’s inclusion in the shortlist would be a remarkable opportunity to highlight his personal success and bowls as a sport.
